Update on regulatory proceedings

BlueScope acknowledges receipt of the Statement of Claim filed by the ACCC in the Federal Court in its civil proceedings against BlueScope and one of its former employees, Jason Ellis, for alleged cartel conduct.

Director retirement

BlueScope today announced that Mr Lloyd Jones has advised his intention to retire from the Board at the Company’s Annual General Meeting which is being held on 21 November 2019.

Update on regulatory proceedings

Further to BlueScope’s announcement on 30 August 2019, the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC) has today informed the Company that the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions (CDPP) has determined not to commence criminal cartel proceedings against either BlueScope or its former employee, Mr Jason Ellis.

BlueScope responds to ACCC proceedings

BlueScope today advised that the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has commenced civil proceedings against BlueScope and its former employee Mr Jason Ellis alleging contraventions of the Australian competition law cartel provisions.More  

BlueScope FY2019 financial results

On 19 August 2019 BlueScope Steel Limited released its full year financial results for the 12 months ended 30 June 2019.

Market update on earnings and buy-back extension

BlueScope today announced that it now expects FY2019 underlying EBIT approaching $1,350 million, which is an increase of approximately 6 per cent on FY2018 and implies 2H FY2019 underlying EBIT approaching $500 million. This compares to prior guidance of around a 10 per cent increase on FY2018.
